There are five training areas in the Department of Psychology: Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience (BCN) Clinical Psychology (Clin) Cognition and Perception (CP) Developmental Psychology (Dev) Personality and Social Psychology (PSP) Many of our faculty have affiliations in more than one area. In addition, although graduate students typically apply to one training area, opportunities for joint training are available. Many of our faculty from a number of different training areas have research interests in Health Psychology. Although not a formal training area, the interested graduate student can receive broad training at Iowa in this growing sub-discipline. Finally, all graduate students in the program receive full financial aid for 5 years.
