There are two ways for Psychology majors to get cleared to register for summer and fall classes.
1. Attend a small group advising session. At these sessions you will have the opportunity to get course selection advice and to find out about research/volunteer opportunities. Students attending small group sessions must bring a printed DEGREE EVALUATION to their advising session. Students will be cleared for registration at the end of the day during which they attended an advising session.
More information about advising sessions and sign up instructions is found here.
2. Sign an advising waiver. This is an option for students who do not have any questions about course selection or graduation requirements. The waiver states that you do not want advising and that you accept responsibility for course selections. Advising waivers are available in the main Psychology office in Seashore Hall. The office is open daily from 8-12 and 1-5. Advising waivers are available for downloading here.
Signing a waiver does not provide instantaneous registration approval. Students who sign waivers will be cleared/authorized to register on the next business day.
NOTE: Students are encouraged to seek advice and assistance in planning their academic programs. However, formal responsibility for meeting University and Departmental requirements rests with the student
