The MACLab needs you! Put your skills to work on the cutting edge of psychology with a unique research opportunity. The MACLab is looking for tech-savvy students who are interested in a for-credit research assistant position. You'll help with designing programs for controling eye-tracking experiments; model infant development with neural networks and statistical models; and synthesize and analyze speech. You'll also be involved in data collection, recruitment, and stimulus design. If you learn new technology, and want to work on the interface of psychology and computing, contact Prof. Bob McMurray.
In particular, we're looking for someone who:
- Learns new skills fast
- Has experience with Matlab, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access or Psyscope
- Has an interest in perception, cognition, speech recognition or language
- Is self-motivated and curious
- Is comfortable with math and computer science
