Within the department, I am member of both the Developmental Science and Cognition and Perception training areas. I am also an active members of the University of Iowa Language Discussion Group and the Iowa Center for Developmental and Learning Sciences. My work is funded by the National Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders (NIDCD).About this siteI maintain an active research program through my lab, the Mechanisms of Audio-Visual Categorization Lab (MACLab). You can find out more about the type of research I do there, as well as meet my students and collaborators. I hope that while you're there, you'll also learn about speech, language, cognition and development.I maintain a number of resources for the research communities, including KlattWorks an innovative speech synthesis tool, and the Consortium for Research on Infant Eye-Tracking (sorry it's still a little incomplete).
