Behavioral Testing

Animals are tested in a variety of behavioral tasks specifically designed to investigate particular mnemonic processes pertinent to episodic-like memory.

       
       
 

Electrophysiology

Dynamic neural correlates with behavioral performance in memory tasks are simultaneously monitored from multiple brain regions such as the hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex, using state-of-the-art parallel recording techniques in freely moving animals.

 
       
       

 

Pharmacological and Lesion Studies
 

Contributions of different brain areas to behavioral performance in memory tasks are studied by inactivating the regions of interest using specific pharmacological blockers and/or neurotoxins.
