This conference will bring the top researchers from each theoretical perspective from around the world to the University of Iowa. Nine of the researchers below are noted authorities on dynamic systems theory and development (Spencer, Corbetta, Fischer, van Geert, van der Maas, Newell, Schöner, Smith, Vereijken), nine are noted authorities on connectionist approaches to development (McClelland, Gasser, Mareschal, McMurray, Munakata, Parisi, Plunkett, Tabor, Thomas), four are experts in developmental systems theory (Blumberg, Johnston, Lickliter, Robinson), and six are experts in the fields of cognitive development and cognitive psychology (Love, Newcombe, Oakes, Van Orden, Plumert, Vecera).
