Working Memory Stimuli

Instructions

You will see a set of squares presented briefly, followed by a brief pause and another set of squares. Try to remember the colors of as many squares in the first array as possible. Your task is to decide if the colors of the squares in the first array match the colors of the squares in the second array. After another brief pause, the next trial will begin.

Try it!

From experiments using this basic paradigm, we were able to conclude that the capacity for visual working memory is about four items, and is unaffected by a concurrent verbal load.
